Create Your Own Fruit-Scented Candle

Urban Wick Candle Bar is Southeast Michigan's first custom candle-making experience. Here, guests blend their own fruit-inspired scent from more than 80 premium fragrance oils. Then, the candle is poured into natural soy wax with an organic cotton wick. Throughout the process, in-house scent designers guide you step by step. Fruit candles are made with fresh, citrus, tropical, or berry-based fragrance oils. So, they can fill a room with vibrant, clean aromas.

What Makes a Fruit-Scented Candle Worth Burning?

Fruity fragrances work well in candles because they layer complexity without becoming heavy. A citrus base, like bergamot or grapefruit, adds a bright, clean lift. Warmer notes, like peach or mango, bring richness.

At Urban Wick, you don't pick from a fixed menu. You blend from scratch using our candle-making experience, which means your fruit candle smells exactly the way you want, whether that's a single crisp citrus or a layered tropical blend.

How Does the Fruit Candle Experience Work?

Make a reservation online before your visit. The $10 per person fee applies toward your purchase. Walk-ins are welcome, but seating is not guaranteed.

Once you arrive at our Downtown Birmingham location, a scent designer walks you through blending from start to finish. You choose your fruit scents, test combinations, and watch your candle get hand-poured. Candles take about 30 to 45 minutes to set, leaving time to explore the shops and restaurants nearby before pickup.

Planning a group outing? Host a private event for 18 to 30 guests with dedicated scent designers and the full candle bar for 3 hours.

With 80+ premium fragrance oils available, fruity options span a full spectrum:

Our scent designers help you layer these into a balanced, clean-burning fragrance. You can also apply your custom scent to reed diffusers, room sprays, body sprays, and lotions during your visit.
