That's completely normal. Candles need 90 to 120 minutes to set after pouring. Most Sterling Heights guests head out into Downtown Birmingham for a meal or a walk and pick the candle up on their way back to the car.
Hot wax is part of the pour, so it's not designed for small children. Older teens with adult supervision do fine. Anyone making a candle needs to be comfortable handling warm vessels.
